THE BRIDGE logo The Bridge is an Italian brand, tracing its history since 1969, when five Tuscan artisans united in a firm Il Ponte Pelletteria SpA. "Il ponte" in Italian means "the bridge", but at that time the English names were in trend. Actually, that's why The Bridge were initially designed in Anglo-Saxon style. Currently, the brand is owned by Piquadro SpA (80%) and  Il Ponte Finanziaria SpA (20%), the annual turnover is more than 36 million euros. Production and office are located in Scandicci (a suburb of Florence). Along with the main line, made from top quality leather, the company produces a line of bags and briefcases for travel and business, in which light and durable synthetic materials are used in addition to the leather. The Bridge is presented in numerous retail stores all around the world, and is considered a benchmark of quality among the fans of the Italian leather goods.
